With an opportunity to help define strategy, shape culture and drive results, the Communications and Community Relations Sr. Analyst manages, executes and measures internal & external communication plans. The position will also initiate and facilitate relationships between TimkenSteel and its local communities, with the purpose of strengthening those communities, building goodwill toward the company and fostering employee recruitment, retention and overall engagement.
Support marketing communications strategies to drive business objectives
Assist with annual sales conference, trade shows and various customer events
Support creation of content for promotional materials and commercial packages
Assist in external website updating and maintenance
Create content for whitepapers
Assist in managing digital assets
Support internal communications strategies to drive employee engagement
Assist in quarterly employee meetings
Assist in communications strategies focused on hourly employees
Support communications related to company s health and wellness efforts
Support employee resource groups with timely and effective communications
Support social media strategies by creating compelling content for company s external blog and help manage the company s LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter accounts
Develop community relations strategies by establishing effective company outreach programs that support the company s community relations mission
Oversee TimkenSteel s Charitable Fund by maintaining grant requests, meeting with fund trustees and providing recommendations on giving
Foster relationships with key partner charities (i.e. United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Arts in Stark)
Serve as the primary liaison for the company with community organizations (i.e. local schools, Canton Chamber of Commerce)
Create employee engagement opportunities by identifying and/or creating opportunities for employees to volunteer and match leaders with charitable board service
Evaluate and execute annual employee scholarship process
A team player who can help execute long-term communications strategies that address core business goals and challenges and work collaboratively with company leaders, facility managers, technical experts and professionals from other functions.
Superior writing, editing and oral communication skills, preferably focused in a B2B environment.
Experienced in project management and handling project financials, timelines and budgets.
Minimum: Bachelor s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, English or related with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience, OR Master s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, English or related with a minimum or 1 year relevant experience.
Preferred: Bachelor s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, English or related with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, OR Master s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, English or related with a minimum or 3 years relevant experience.
