Role Summary:
This role is responsible for all communications for GE Lighting and will lead a team focused on developing and executing a communications strategy that amplifies the business' innovation and transformation. This will role will partner with the business leadership team and GE corporate team.
Essential Responsibilities:
Serve as communications advisor to senior executives
Provide guidance on complex, sensitive and business critical issues
Generate ideas to drive business growth, inspire cultural transformation and foster customer centricity
In partnership with business leadership, define the key business priorities and leverage these to create well thought programs for execution by the communications team
Promote a shared sense of purpose by proactively finding and telling the stories that align with the business' strategic priorities
Raise the brand profile of the business internally and externally. This includes: engaging employee communications / programs, proactive PR, thought leadership, strategic speaking engagements, executive communications, etc.
Own all proactive and reactive media relations and influencer engagement, including serving as a company spokesperson
Support the development of user-centric communications and drive the continuous modernization of content distribution through digital, mobile, broadcast, online, print, and in-person channels to encourage meaningful conversations
Drive qualitative and quantitative reporting metrics, analysis, and ROI that can demonstrate success against desired and stated outcomes
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 8 years of experience driving global PR or marketing communications (including Media relations & executive communications experience)
5 years of experience preparing strategic communications plans
3 years of experience delivering strategic advice / counsel to executives
